The Wake County public school system earns high marks across the board, outperforming school districts across the state and nation in end-of-course and proficiency tests, SAT scores and other performance-measuring criteria.

In 2004, Money magazine named the Cary the “hottest town” on the East Coast, and one of the six most desirable places to live in America. Factors affecting the rankings included: median income; population growth; unemployment rates; the cost of residential housing relative to local income levels; and percent of college educated working professionals.
The Durham Area

The Wake Forest Area

Wake Forest, a town about five miles north of Raleigh, was the original home of the University of Wake Forest, which is now located in Winston-Salem, N.C. Wake Forest is a community with a vibrant, historical downtown featuring a variety of restaurants, shops and businesses.
Although not an immediate part of the Triangle, Wake Forest is still heavily associated with Raleigh and maintains a small town image to its residents and newcomers. With a vivid culture, it continues to maintain a sustainable growth.
